Credits are the currency that powers everything you do in SuperNinja. Every task you run draws from your credit balance based on how much work is involved — the more complex and resource-intensive the task, the more credits it consumes.
What Consumes Credits?
Three main factors drive credit usage:
Chat Agent Usage — Every interaction with the agent consumes credits based on the amount of work performed behind the scenes — including generating responses, reasoning through requests, and maintaining context across messages. More complex conversations or those using higher-capability modes (such as Complex or Complex+) will consume more credits than lighter, quick exchanges in Standard or Fast modes.
AI Model Usage — Every time SuperNinja reasons, plans, or generates output, it uses language model tokens. This is the primary driver of credit consumption.
Compute Environments — Tasks that involve running code, automating a browser, or working with files spin up cloud sandboxes, which consume credits for as long as they're active. Once a task finishes, it stops consuming credits.
External Service Calls — When SuperNinja pulls data from third-party sources, those calls are reflected in your credit usage.
Task Modes
Before running a task, you can choose a mode that controls how SuperNinja approaches it. Different modes use different amounts of credits for the same task.

Complex+ | The most capable mode. Designed for large, multi-part projects that require extended planning, iteration, and precision. |

How do I get more credits?

Do credits expire?
Your monthly credit allowance resets automatically each billing cycle. On-demand credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Promotional credits have their own expiration terms, which are communicated when they're issued.
